We have begun a new series for our Sunday adult study on Eschatology, or the study of last things. Many have read the “Left Behind” series, but do we know from where in Holy Scripture all of these ideas are derived? Besides this view (dispensational premillennialism) we will be also be exploring the competing notion of postmillennialism (with perhaps a little amillennialism thrown in). Although beliefs about end-times aren’t generally considered core doctrines of faith, they do impact our outlook on our own activity for the Kingdom of God, and so, in that sense, they are important. If you have no idea what these terms mean then you should come on Sunday mornings at 9:30am! It will be interesting for sure!
On January 20, 2013, the Christ Our Savior Adult Sunday class will begin a New Testament Survey series by acclaimed Bible teacher and Author RC Sproul. We have previously viewed the Old Testament series and can say the Dr. Sproul’s insights are profound and encouraging. We are excited to begin this 27 part New Testament series and welcome your participation.
From the “Dust to Glory” website:
Join Dr. Sproul on a unique study tour as he explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. Dust to Glory provides a panorama of biblical truth and a starting point to help you understand the content of the Bible. Dust to Glory can energize your study of the Bible, provide you with new insights, and improve your ability to read, understand, and apply Scripture to your life.

Calling on the Name of the Lord – Worship in the Body of Christ
Join COS for a new series that explores worship from a biblical and traditional Anglican perspective. Let by Kent Bartel, the adult Sunday School class meets at 9:30 AM each Sunday.
The class will be looking at the biblical meaning, history, and scope of worship, and the implications for us as worshippers both on Sunday morning and the rest of the week. It will pay particular attention to biblical patterns of worship and how these patterns are embedded in Anglican liturgies.
Beginning Sunday, June 12th, Christ Our Savior will be taking a journey through the Bible with RC Sproul in his highly acclaimed Dust to Glory biblical overview. We will be going through the entire Old Testament and New Testament with RC Sproul as our guide. Each lesson will be a 23 minute video followed by discussion led by seminarian, Dr. Val Finnell.
If you ever wanted to know what’s in the Bible or just need a refresher course, this is class to take.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM. Bring your bibles!
